I hope you have been taking time to care for yourself. “Take care to give care” can not be over emphasized. This month could be the start for you to take care of yourself. If you could take about three hours a week you would be surprised how much of a renewal it could be. Lunch with a friend or alone, take a walk, be part of a support group, Bible study just to mention a few examples. You not only need a break (respite) but you deserve it. There are some funds available to get financial assistance to pay someone or a family member /friend to help while you take a break. Contact you local council on aging for information. Take it from me it really makes a difference not only for you, as the caregiver, but the care receiver also.
Scripture: “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
